Double Timber Doors
Client: Various
The Problem
Many residential and commercial buildings feature French doors, patio doors, or double door access, and older buildings may also be heritage listed.
In such cases, traditional PVC or composite flood doors are often not acceptable, either due to aesthetic requirements or building regulations, making it challenging to provide effective flood protection without compromising the building’s appearance.
The Solution
M3 Floodtec developed a range of double timber door units with integrated flood protection, fully compliant with BS 851188.
For heritage properties, such as Grade I listed buildings in Battersea, the doors were custom-fabricated to exactly match the original designs, ensuring like-for-like replacement without altering the historic appearance. For industrial or commercial sites, double access openings can be engineered to meet precise specifications.
Manufactured from sustainably engineered Accoya timber, these doors are designed for durability, with a guaranteed service life of 50 years, providing both robust flood protection and long-term reliability.
